Center Announcement: Success in High-Need Schools Manuscripts Invited for Upcoming Journal Issue Deadlines

Effective Date:
December 21, 2009

Success in High-Need Schools invites submissions from scholars, teachers, and administrators at all levels in K-20 education, as well as from persons interested in the well-being of high-need schools from the business, foundation, community, and government sectors related to themes of upcoming issues.  Authors may submit research-based articles (approx. 4,000-6,000 words), action research on teacher best practices (approx. 1,000-2,000 words), and opinion columns (approx. 500-1,000  words) for future issues.

Success in High-Need Schools, the Online Journal of ACI's Center for Success in High-Need Schools, is dedicated to meeting the challenges of improving teaching and learning in schools serving primarily low-income students. As such, the publication documents and disseminates research findings and research-based best practices emerging from the work of ACI's Center for Success in High-Need Schools and similar programs nationwide, and provides a forum for expert observation of progress toward achieving improved teaching and learning in high-need schools.

Submissions should be emailed to Jerry Berberet, editor-in-chief, as Word document attachments. Authors are also invited to email queries directly to Jerry or to send them to the editor.
