remember about their math classes ten years from now? I was at a conference last month and a speaker posed that question. He was sure that students would not remember the quadratic formula. (My students assure me that they would remember the Pythagorean theorem!) The speaker's response was that he wanted them to be able to think and to pay attention to detail. I agree and I think those two are critical life skills and are also important on the state testing. By asking...
